**Experiment format adjustment due to COVID situation:

Due to the COVID situation and safe distancing policy, it is impossible for all the lab groups to be present in the lab at the same time for the experiments. As a result, we had to make some adjustments. After careful consideration, the experiments of this lab have been divided into 2 categories described below:

Category 1) Hands-on experiment by students

In order to give the opportunity to all students to conduct the hands on experiment while not overcrowding the lab, each lab group will be assigned a certain time slot to come in and all student are required to attend in the assigned time slot. The duration for each time slot is 40 minutes. Each group will receive a message through Canvas where the time slot for attending the lab would be mentioned. No groups are allowed to attend the lab in a different time slot.

Category 2) Observing experiment conducted by Instructor

These experiments are predominately performed by the TA while the students observe. Each group would send a delegate to do the experiment in the lab and collect data for that group. Other team members can watch the videos on lab website. All group delegates will attend the lab at the same time at the beginning of the lab section. Group members are responsible to choose their delegates. If a delegate from a group fails to attend the lab, all group members will be considered absent as well.
